If u take all the balls and put them on ur half of the feild and the other team only has over bumper intakes then they cant get any of the balls and then u’d probably win the match cuz they have no balls so they cant get any points and u can put all the balls in the holes to score points…
*field
Yup
They can just get more from human players though.
Note that you’re only allowed to hold one ball at a time, and only one robot is allowed onto the opponent’s side at a time, and that you’re not allowed beyond the frame perimeter on the opponent’s side. With those constraints, I’d be surprised if a team managed to steal even five balls in a match.
Please take the time to spell out the word “you” fully.

Sorry I’m not sure I understand your post.
it was a reply to @ATannahill
Rule G11 makes it very hard to play defense, as well as G9 and G10. The theme of G11 is that you can’t move cargo not actively held by your robot, which limits pushing cargo across the field. The ability to pick up cargo actively is limited as well because of rule G10, which states your robot cannot extend past its perimeter beyond the opponent’s cargo hold line.
You may be able to take one cargo at a time if it’s loose, but I personally think it would be an inefficient use of your time unless you were on an alliance with another bot that could cover most of the scoring. The real question is how much your team wants to commit to scoring three points with an opponent’s cargo.
Defense is quite limited in this game, but if there’s anything FIRST teams are good at, it’s manipulating rules to play defense.
G11 only talks about not being able to “shoot,” “kick,” or “eject” the cargo. It doesn’t say anything about actively holding a cargo piece:
G11. No throwing CARGO on defense. A ROBOT with its BUMPERS breaking the plane defined by or completely beyond the opponent’s CARGO SHIP LINE may not shoot CARGO into the air, kick it across the floor using an active MECHANISM, or eject it across the floor in a forceful way (i.e. CARGO is propelled a significant distance).
In all seriousness, its not very practical since you can only have one robot on your alliance on the far side at a time.
Because of G10, to “steal” cargo from the other side, you’d have to have a break in your frame perimeter, and drive mostly over the ball to take it in -or - “herd” it all the way to your side of the field, meaning you’re not going to be able to do it at full speed. Either way, this strategy could be mostly countered by playing counter-defense (body blocking the “thief”), or by scoring the depot cargo before using any cargo from the alliance station. As there are 24 cargo on a side and only 20 cargo holds to score it in, the only way this would really inhibit the other alliance’s possible top score is if you could steal five or more.
Right, which is why I said it limited anything not actively controlling a piece with your bot. It doesn’t speak about actively holding a piece, so it is likely legal. I’m sure this will come up in the Q&A on Wednesday.
And to add to that you are not allowed to launch cargo while on your opponents side of the field.
