Has anyone noticed any differences in the first published game manual prompting them to publish an updated version of it?
I’m not 100% sure what you are asking. All the team updates can be found on the Game & Season Materials page. The game manual is also on that page, and is updated with every change. There have been 15 team updates, so the manual is currently at V15.

Updates to the manual have been released twice a week throughout the entire season, and will be released once a week through the Championship. Please regularly check for these things on FIRST’s website. There is also usually a thread on CD every time an update comes out.

to get a synopsis of the changes, in reverse chronological order. Team updates were twice a week (Tue, Fri) during build season, but are weekly (Tue) now. I absolutely recommend downloading the latest update between the Tuesday afternoon update and heading to your event(s) so you have the current stuff.
There were updates to the robot and human and game rules, updates to the field drawings, updates to resources, and other places as well. I recommend re-downloading the main rule book, and reading through the combined updates document if you’ve gone this far without realizing there had been changes.
And OBTW, check in for rule updates at least twice a week next year.
