2019 Field CAD

Does anyone know where I could get an Autodesk version of the 2019 CAD or am I going to have to continue going through all these files to find the actual assembly of the field?

If you download the solidworks field CAD, you should be able to directly open it in inventor. It will just generate inventor files when you open the solidworks files.

On the FRC Playing Field document page you can find a download link to the CAD files of the Field Parts and Assemblies in a zipped folder.

Never Mind… the naming conventions a just horrible :expressionless: I finally found the actual field assembly

What is the name of the assembly file?

Dwight_2, where did you find the AutoCAD Field?

My problem is I don’t have solid works yet.

Looking for Autodesk Inventor field. Inventor doesn’t seem to be able to convert solidworks.

That’s what I’m looking for as well.

Using the solidworks CAD, it was able to be opened in Fusion 360.

The field is FE-0042 if I recall correctly

FE-00042

Could somebody please provide a link to their fusion 360 project or .f3d file of the field once they converted/imported it successfully?

We have it imported, but the word “Successfully” really doesn’t apply. It’s missing stuff and it’s an ugly mess.

Yay! Missing SolidWorks parts

It appears someone at SolidWorks didn’t use Pack and Go.

I can’t even open the zip archive. Those who have successfully, did you use an archive manager like 7zip?

Yes, 7-Zip worked. Then there’s a bit of work to import and re-create the “missing” files.

Considering many of the missing files are more of the aesthetic stuff on the Cargo Ship/Rocket, i gave up past fixing the platforms.

I really hope STEP files get released, making playing with this in blender a heck of a lot easier.

This was just added https://grabcad.com/library/2019-frc-field-step-export-1 It is a step file and it opens well in fusion 360!

Looks like this is a straight conversion of the buggy Solidworks CAD.
