Did people generally not like minibots? I ask because 2011 was my first year in FRC. I loved the minibot end game, ours was unofficially named Trixy.

From what I can tell, people didn’t like the way they were implemented and how they played out at a high level. Since it was based on the first one to the top of the pole in endgame, top teams basically parked by the pole at 35 seconds and waited to launch, hoping that their minibot was first to the top.
All I have to say is…who needs a Judge?..Because I’m not building or maintaining that! The amount of game pcs. alone…oy vey.

Look in the bottom left corner of the image. The robots will have to do all of this while the field is rotated 90 degrees up, so they have to climb up and down the field (watch out drivers for falling robots).
