Hey, we (2930) saw something about the BOM for this year that the Robo Rio is not included in the Kit of Parts (it was for rookie teams), and if so would it cost the $1000 and be a part of the BOM? If so, isn’t it technically against the rules to include a part that is over $500? Did anyone else notice this?
I’m not speaking on behalf of the BOM, but the roborio is $435 for frc teams, so that is the cost that would apply there, not the $1000 they charge for industry use.
Anything included in the kit of parts or the rookie kit of parts this year is exempted from the BoM in the quantity included. The rookie kit of parts includes one roboRIO, so you can exempt your roboRIO from the BoM. If, for some reason, you wanted to use a second roboRIO on your robot for vision processing or anything else, you would have to include that on your BoM at the FRC discounted price of $435
