We have just been informed that both Southern Cross Regional and South Pacific Regional in Sydney have been postponed.
On behalf of 4613 & The Barker Redbacks - we want to say Thank You to Luan Heimlich and the team at FIRST Australia. You’ve done and continue to do so much for competitive robotics in Australia. We know these are trying times, with some decisions out of our hands, and not made lightly.
Our team is feeling devastated that we won’t get to play, especially just days out from the start of the regionals. We look forward to hearing more on what the tentative future plans might look like. I want to publicly acknowledge the amazing work that all our students on the Barker Redbacks have done in preparation for the season, and I’m sorry you won’t get to immediately show off your great work. We’re incredibly proud of all you have done, the hours you’ve put in, and the robot you’ve designed and built.
