Usually I am a pessimist and you’d be hard pressed to find a time when I’m not being negative in stressful situations, but for once in my life I’m going to try to have a positive outlook. Following the very recent news that all PCH events would be postponed I realized that For me FIRST has never really been about the competition, it’s always been about the experience (even though I am extremely competitive). There’s no need to give up so early in the season, there’s a lot to be learned and a lot of memories to still be made (even if they are not at competition.) It is sad to know I won’t be able to go to worlds my senior year but that doesn’t mean we have to stop trying. 2020 is going to be remembered as the year of the off season and I hope that anyone reading this can find it in them and just keep soldiering on. Use this time to get caught up on school and get ready for off season events because they are going to be crazy and let’s just all be hopeful for what’s to come.
PCH gang rise up!
As much as its disappointing, it’s a chance to take a step back and take a breather. I can’t wait for the delayed competitions and offseason events.
I have a feeling they’ll be more exciting then comps are usually
Absolutely. Especially if it’s possible for this year’s seniors to make it, since it’ll really be their last hoorah.
The color wheel will likely see relevancy.
Maybe we’ll finally see some stage 3s in quals
I very much appreciate you striving to find the silver lining amidst all of the struggle many areas are going through right now.
What I love most about first in the community and I’m hopeful that in a little while everyone will be able to get back to robots.
