2021-2022 FRC Game: Disease Dash!
Robots will have to grab wall pieces from loading stations across the field and bring them back to mini cities on their side of the field.
After that, they will have to place the wall pieces around the city in order to quarantine them. Once all an alliance’s cities have been quarantined, the bots can start to grab syringes from the loading station on the opposite side of the field and shoot them in their goal to score points.
At the end of the game, the robots have to get to the drop off zone in the middle of the field to evacuate the infected cities. The drop off zone will be a 4 way ramp with ramps going in each direction of the field. There will be a platform that the ramps go up to that the robots will have to try to get onto at the end of the match. The platform will be very small, so getting multiple robots onto the platform will be a challenge, especially when both alliances have to end up in the same spot. The alliance with the most robots on the platform at the end of the match will get the most endgame points.
However, if all cities have already been quarantined, then the robots go back to the starting zone where they can perform a vertical climb to score more points.

How does water get implemented?
It doesn’t. I think a game about COVID would be a bit more relevant in the year of 2021-2022 than a water game.
Yeeting is back!!!
Oh boy.
Somehow we need to include essential and non-essential game pieces.
like gears and fuel?
Yeah exactly!
To make it as confusing as all the real life 2020 situation maybe they dynamically change the point value of the pieces at the start of the match so you have no clue whats essential or not until the game starts.
Something like this could be implemented. My idea of something like this would be to have random cities on the field become “infected” at random times. Quarantining uninfected cities wouldn’t be mandatory, but it would let your alliance be able to perform the climbs near the starting zones in endgame for even more points than just going to the ramp in the city. However, if a city became “infected” (would be indicated with lights on the cities on the field), then that alliance MUST quarantine (by placing the wall game pieces around it) before they can score any more points using the other game pieces and the goal. If there are infected cities on an alliance’s side of the field during endgame, that alliance CANNOT go to their starting zone to do a climb there, and instead must go to the 4 way ramp in the middle. However, if all cities are quarantined, or aren’t quarantined but aren’t infected, then the alliance has the option of doing climbs at their starting zones or the 4 way ramp platform in the middle of the field.
Actually, I really like the idea of a game with randomized elements that appear during the match that teams have to respond to. Moreso than just spinning the Control Panel to a certain color. Something that changes the entire dynamics of the match.
