2022 Gitchi Gummi Get Together

This summer, the Duluth East Daredevils are happy to be hosting the Gitchi Gummi Get-Together again! From July 15-16, we’ll be putting on a series of workshops, activities, and, of course, the competition.

The event will be taking place on the aforementioned date at Duluth East High School, Duluth, MN. Currently, we have nine teams signed up, and there is a maximum of 24 teams. Sign-ups occur on a first-come, first-serve basis, so sign up quickly if your team is interested!

Friday will consist of discussions and workshops in the morning, and then regular matches will follow. If your team is interested in a specific workshop topic or would like to host one of these sessions, please contact us at daredevils2512@gmail.com , post a reply in this thread, or PM me.

Aside from the competition and information sessions, we’re also going to host fun activities. These will include the famous Mentor Match, games, team building exercises, and more! After all, we’re not justhere for robots, right?

Detailed information and registration can be found on our website: https://daredevils2512.org/

Thanks for reading, and we hope to see you there!

Isn’t 1816 slated to be at IRI the same day?

I’m glad to see this event returning! One of my favorite off-season events. Highly recommend the trip for any metro teams thinking about attending

2826 is not The Automatons that would be 2823

They will probably back out of this event. Registered doesn’t necessarily mean they are going.

I believe 133 competed at IRI 2018 with their main robot, while the practice bot stayed home and competed at Summer Heat. 1816 could be doing something like that. I don’t envy the person who has to manage two separate teams in two different states.

We also did the same thing in 2016. You think we would have learned our lesson the first time we did it, but apparently not.

They are, but they are backing out to attend Gitchi gummi. 2022 IRI Invitation Listing - #33 by NetArcX
