Oh goodness gracious professionalism, there are a couple of Michigan teams on the porch. Probably not here just to borrow a cup of sugar.
They came for their Blue Banners.
Some day, folks here in WOW are going to start building good robots, and when that day comes, yinz Michigan teams better watch out
In all seriousness, 27 is on another level this year, and they were never going to be denied
Thanks for having us! Team 27 was excited to go and had a great time with all the teams there. We wanted to come to Pittsburg to keep up our annual tradition of trying to go to a regional event outside of Michigan so that we can provide an engaging out of state experience for the students with the opportunity to interact with teams outside of our normal bubble. We were delighted to be able to come home with a blue banner because the competition was intense! Looking forward to come visit again soon, the venue and volunteers all did a wonderful job with the event!
RUSH is the rabbit among Michigan teams at this point. There is a strong breakaway group accelerating now, intent on reeling them in. And the usual peleton behind that.
Do 4028 and 2614 not consider themselves part of WOW?
Is WOW still a thing?
4028 has competed in most, if not all WOW offseason Championships, Although invited, I do not believe 2614 has ever attended.
Its still a dream…
After Pittsburgh me and the current team president went to ask the regional director about this and found out that it’s all organized by cori / the past foundation and from what I was told there is no known plan for the wow championship to happen this year hopefully someone reaches out and gets the ball rolling on it it’s a great event to end the season
Thanks for posting the pics! It’s been useful to have them in one place while doing some post-event quality checks of our scouting data.
What a weird turn this thread has taken otherwise, though.
Playing with the teams from all over was a lot of fun, and our students learned a lot from them. 27 was obviously a standout, but there were some great local bots, too!
There have been WV teams at all the WOW Championships, but we haven’t been among them. It conflicted with our county’s graduation ceremonies every year. Between that and general season burnout, we weren’t able to muster enough folks to attend.
