2022 Ozark Mountain Brawl

I am proud to announce another year of the Ozark Mountain Brawl taking place on the beautiful campus of Harding Academy in Searcy, Arkansas. This event will occur from September 9th - 10th. We will also have the 4th Annual Ozark Mountain Brawl Skills Challenges on Friday followed by qualification rounds. Your registration fee gets you into both events.

SCHEDULE

Friday, Sept. 9th, 2022
1:00 Doors open for teams to set up pits, registration, WPA encryption, safety inspection begins, Practice field opens, and Concession Stand opens.
2:30 – 3:30 Vision calibration
3:30 - 6:30 OMB Skills Challenge
6:30 Driver meeting
7:30 – 9:30 Qualification matches/Team Social

Saturday, Sept. 10th, 2022

8:00 Doors open for teams
8:30 Opening ceremony
9:00–11:30 Qualification matches
11:45 Alliance selection
12:00-1:00 Lunch
1:00 Elimination tournament
4:00 Closing Ceremonies and Awards
5:00 Estimated end of activities

We are very excited to have this event again on the campus of Harding University and Harding Academy. It will be held in two basketball gyms at Harding Academy.

Here is a link to a map of the campus. There are plenty of hotels in the area with some great rates.

REGISTRATION

Registration will close at 24 teams and the remaining registrants will be waitlisted. Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. So register today and get your payment in to secure your spot. You can register at our Eventbrite Page

The cost will be as follows:
$300 – Teams Early Registration (Ends 8/19/22)
$350 – Teams Late Registration (Begins 8/19/22)
FREE - 2023 Rookie Teams Registration (Ends 9/8/21)

RULE CHANGES

We will be implementing several rule changes for this year’s OMB. This may include changes to alliance selections. Stay tuned for those to be finalized.

WEBCAST

We will be webcasting the event live on Friday and Saturday. Stay tuned for more information.

5454 is looking forward to another year of OMB. Always one of the most fun offseason events of the year. Some of the Skills Challenge events are the most entertaining moments of the season.

We are in need of volunteers for Friday, September 9th from 5:00 pm - 9:30 pm and Saturday, September 10th from 7:00 am - 5:00 pm. If you are interested in helping this year, on either or both of those dates, please fill out the form below. You need NO prior experience as we will train each one of you prior to your volunteer times.

Each volunteer will be provided with dinner on Friday night and a continental breakfast and lunch on Saturday. You will also receive an Ozark Mountain Brawl shirt and the satisfaction that you are helping to support the next generation of world problem solvers.

Here is an update of our team list we really want to hit 16 or more, and we are so close! There are still a few teams that are not official yet but should be joining us soon. There is still space at the event if you want to join us. We have gotten several volunteers over the last week, but we could certainly use more. If you want to come and join us in a volunteer role for OMB, that link is in the OP.

We will be releasing the OMB Skill Challenges tonight. Be checking your emails for the eight events this year!

2992 SS Prometheus had a blast last year at this event. Unfortunately we just couldn’t make the dates work this year, and also won’t be able to attend. We are hoping to return in future years! I’m sure once again it will be a fabulous event.
