Team 4201 is opening our full field starting this Saturday 2/5 and all weekends we are not competing thereafter. We have an AndyMark Perimeter and have finished all field elements. You can see the pictures here.
Due to COVID, we will only allow ONE TEAM at a time. So please demonstrate Gracious Professionalism by showing up to the time slot you register for and be considerate of other teams when signing up (ie. don’t sign up for every time slot).
If you register for a time and realize you will not be ready, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance so we can let the waitlisted team know they can come.
Our COVID protocols are as follows:
5 people per team (includes students and all adults).
All attendees must be fully vaccinated (including booster) or show a negative COVID test within the last 48 hours.
Masks must stay on at all times, so no eating.
Teams must stay in the field room and in their designated pit space/field side.
Hello,
I was wondering where you got the dimensions for the side and end pieces for the upper exit assemblies on your hub? I am not seeing on TE-22100-AM.
Thanks, Jason
So glad you guys are doing this! It’s amazing to have a full field near us and always a pleasure to visit 4201. You can expect a visit from 1197 in the future. You guys rock!
This email went out to local teams and those who signed up already but in case that didn’t cover it:
Team 4201 is thrilled to invite local teams to our “Stop Build” scrimmage! While some of you have been or are planning to visit our field already, we hope that a scrimmage setting will provide the robot-to-robot interactions generally missing from practices.
When: Sunday, February 20, 2022, 2:30 PM - 7:30 PM
Where: 201 N Douglas St, El Segundo, CA 90245
Cost: Nothing!
Interested? There will be a maximum of 11 teams (in addition to 4201) with each having 8 spaces for both mentors and student members. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis through this application form (select the scrimmage date). Confirmation will be sent on February 18.
Gameplay: Due to the small number of teams and the testing nature of many of the robots, we will NOT have a formal schedule. Teams will be able to get on the field as they are ready via the queue line we will have along the outside of the building. Bumpers are required, but color/numbers do not matter. We will likely start gameplay around 3 PM (teams can arrive starting around 2:30 PM) and wrap up around 7 PM.
COVID-Specific Guidelines:
8 people per team (includes students and all adults).
All attendees must be fully vaccinated (including booster) or show a negative COVID test within the last 48 hours.
Masks must stay on at all times while inside the school.
There will be a designated area for teams to eat and teams will station their pits outside our practice field room for easy access and ensure social distancing guidelines are met. See the attached map for the layout.
No more than 30 people will be allowed inside the building at once.
We can’t wait to interact with our community once again! Feel free to reach out with any questions. Hope to see you soon!
