2491’s best match is probably playoffs match 12 at 10k lakes.
We were across the curtain from you in Duluth this year, but we were definitely impressed with NoMythic when we both played North Star last year!
Here’s a fairly typical match from us at the Iowa Regional. We’ve since added a big ol’ chunk of steel under our belly pan to keep those “wheelies” in check! Quals 52 - Iowa Regional 2023 - The Blue Alliance
That was an epic 5 match run for our alliance through those playoffs averaging some 183 pts per match. 1731 had 11,12,12,13,12 pieces in those matches and all three teams were flying.
Match 4 too as we put up 9 in tele plus 2 in auto. But match 6 went hard, we cycled like 58 percent of our alliances game pieces
I think we would be interested in this. Can you provide further info through a PM. I will let our other mentors know and tell you if we can pull it off!
20 is a lot of people for scouting – more than the entirety of some teams! Are you trying to scout all the divisions or something?
20 is definitely a lot to bring to Houston, but it actually isn’t a whole lot. We do not plan on scouting every division, but we do plan on having 6 scouts for every match. This means that each scout would need to scout 6/20 or 30% of the matches! This is definitely way better than scouting 100% of the matches, but historically it’s really hard to convince people to stay in the stands instead of visiting the hundreds of pits, conferences, and everything else going on at the convention center.
I’m definitely not complaining and I know that a lot of teams are unable to bring nearly as many people, but it would still be nice to have some more scouts.
Picked this team for my fantasy draft and was really blown away by how well they performed. Criminally underrated on statbotics right now and definitely one to watch.
Thank you! I saw that draft pick and was honored a bit lol. While sometimes they can be an okay metric, stats aren’t everything and it can be hard to perform one way and see the stats describe you in another. After our performance at FIN champs we’re feeling pretty good, and the Daly division looks really fun to play on. Excited to make our first trip to the championship since 2017
2883 Match 4 Lacrosse, lots has changed on this robot since, new gears in both arm (30% increase)and drivetrain (L1 to L3). Plus a floor pickup.
Good luck everyone
Go F.R.E.D
Edit: It looks like FIRST is still rearranging things. The pit map should be at this link once it’s final.
I’m pretty sure I’m not crazy, and our pit assignment changed since this map was originally posted. If you’ve copied your pit location anywhere ,check again folks!
2 new teams were added (now there’s 78 instead of 76), so that’s probably why it changed (and also another thing to potentially update).
As various kind people have pointed out, I have been extremely fortunate to be on a team that can send well more than a drive team and a pit crew, which sadly is all that many teams are able to do (especially for worlds) for various reasons beyond their control. To those of you who have worked extremely hard to make it this far and come however many miles you had to, I’m sorry for discounting how much effort and resources it takes. My team already has plenty, and for me to call it insufficient was inappropriate.
In light of this, I will delete my original post. Anyone still wanting to collaborate is of course still welcome, but I am more than content with our current number of scouts. Also, in case it would be useful, I will be occasionally uploading our data to this spreadsheet, though statbotics will probably update more frequently and has some more advanced processing.
Good luck and have fun at worlds!
Practice match schedule has been released! DCMP FRC Event Web : Practice Schedule
Daly Match Schedule is live!
Highpoint: getting to play with 1325
Lowpoint: not getting to play with 4907
YMMV
I love how Statbotics is telling everyone “you will probably rank somewhere between 1st and 40th.” It’s going to be an exciting few days!
Consistency is going to win this thing…
