2023 Hall of Fame Predictions

I dont want to have to listen to it for a third time, no offense to the team, but just not something I want to do again.

See it’s actually my favorite Impact video of all time (although I’ve only seen it once - at states) - but I can understand where you’re coming from

Why did I remember 2169 winning chairman’s in 2017 so vividly? Sorry MARS!

I would love to see 321 win. The scale of what they do in Philly is mind-blowing.

I’ve been rooting for 1511 to win since high school (and I hate thinking about how long ago that was). It’s got to come soon for them!!

In my unbiased opinion it is objectively the best impact video in history.

Your point regarding 1816 is completely true. However, 503 and 4613 were inducted into the HoF in 2021, so I would hesitate to say that 1629 was a back to back finalist to winner of any sort.

For the most part it has been a notable trend since the beginning of the (now) Impact Finalist Award at Champs that the teams who don’t get it usually aren’t seen again on that front for a few years. The way I’ve seen it is that it’s basically a way of saying hey, you’re doing amazing things and you’re so close, we’ll see you again in a few years. I’m not saying that 1511 can’t do it, especially given that I’m really rooting for them, but I haven’t seen a likely case for it. It’s the same reason I wouldn’t be betting on 2468 this year, even if they had won Impact in FiT.

I think it’s gonna be 118. What they are doing with Everybot is incredible and getting a tinfoil hat on, they have not won any Chairmans in over a decade and just won the Texas impact award.

My predictions:

  • 118
  • 1511
  • 1868
  • 6328
  • …and a couple teams I’m not familiar with.

The first in Texas Impact award was very wacky this year. lots of the normal contenders didn’t win (most notably 2468 after being chairman finalists in 2022 and 1477 ending their 6 or 7 year streak of winning chairman excluding 2021). I personally think that 118 is overdue for the award. They do lots of work both on and off the field and I personally love working with them.

side note and completely unbiased but I think that 5414 is a strong contender for impact at world champs.

Seconding this. Their work with OA and in changing how many teams log has had a profound impact on this program and smart judges would be fighting to celebrate that.

A team from new england will enter the HOF for the first time since team 236 in 2009

if they don’t then 1511 or 1868 since coconuts had a woodie flowers winner last year and average year distance between WFA winner and HOF is about 3-10 years and not 1

1511 has won like a dozen Impact awards. It’s time for them to get the nods and be let in th eHall of Fame.

I agree. This team’s contributions span generations.

Is it better than this one?

It’s the 2023 re-imagining of that one. It’s hard to say which is truly better, for how can you compare two such exquisite masterpieces?
