Sorry to buzzkill but…
The reason I hate this joke is because it makes the low-information-team the butt of the joke.
There is an unacknowledged information war happening that a lot of people are just not surviving. Some people think this is a robot competition but it’s actually a game about robustness against being systematically underinformed. And uh, that game sucks.
I propose a new joke where GDC is (rightfully) the butt.

Can you imagine there are teams out there who think that there’s only ONE static ruleset that comes out on kickoff day 
They don’t know that the FRC ruleset evolves on a twice-weekly basis from January through April! And since empty updates are very unusual, they could be fooled into believing that an empty update actually contains a major breaking change! Ha!
