2024 3D printed field - 1:24 scale

We put together a 1:24 scale (1" = 2’) 3D printed field. CNC routered MDF base, with 3D printed elements that all drop into slots on the base, and even real chains! Came together quite nicely and has already become the center of our teams game strategy discussions.

We have already offered up the designs to local teams (a few of whom are making their own), but figured this may be useful to the community.

Disclaimer: many simplifications to game elements have been made to make it more 3D printing and manufacturing friendly in a short timeline (started design Saturday night, fully assembled by Monday), but the overall scale should be close.

Love this!! I’m having trouble converting IGS to STL. I’m using a web browser converter and was only able to pull the note. What would be the best program to open in? Or how can i view and manipulate thought SketchUp?

Thanks!

I’ve actually never used Sketchup beyond a quick tinkering around, should play around with it a little more. 2 ways we would do it:

  1. Download and open the .igs in Solidworks, then “Save As” the parts as .stl’s
  2. Open the OnShape document, make a copy of the project to your personal account, then you can “Export” the individual files as .stl’s from there

Thank you! I should have gone down the Solidworks path first.

Whoa, is this real? If so, welcome back!

I love this stuff. Added it to All the CRESCENDO Resources.
