2024 Inspection Checklist

I’ve been looking high and low for the 2024 inspection checklist like has been available in years past.

I found this thread with Updates but no links to an official list

I can find the 2023 checklist under the same Game and Season Materials page where you would find the manuals. Anyone have any insights?

It’s not part of the game manual for this year or available on that page

Usually it isn’t available until a bit later in build, typically around Week 5.

Good to know, I had no idea it took awhile longer. Is that to wait until team updates pass or to give the RI and LRIs time to actually make the list after the game is released?

Probably a bit of each. If you go through go through last year’s list, and make adjustments using the changes for this year, it’s not difficult to get to about 98% right. When the official checklist comes out, I will add a paragraph or two to the bottom of the “changes” wiki you linked above, identifying changes to the checklist from last year.
Thanks, this reminds me it’s about time to update my R&I cheat sheet; the R&I rules stripped down to one (two sided, trifold) page.

It’s now available. I did a quick scan for differences from last year. I see the following changes, almost all of which track rule changes in the manual:

  • height limit 48"
  • extension limit 12"
  • bumper covers entire perimeter with <1/2" gaps
  • clearance pockets in bumper backing must now be shallow
  • bumper numbers must be visible 60’ away
  • no longer required to check for damage to game pieces
  • robot must not be designed to reduce working length of stage chain
  • COTS USB battery now 5A
  • only four propulsion motors
  • electrical solenoid actuators no longer restricted to 1" stroke
  • software version numbers updated
