Red Storm Team 509 is pleased to announce that we have been selected to host the FIRST Official Week Zero Event for 2024.
We are honored to have been selected by FIRST to host this event and are excited to invite 32 teams to attend. The event will be held at Bedford High School on Saturday, February 17, 2024.
We’re looking forward to making this the best event possible.
Registration opens Tuesday, January 16 at noon (EST). We will be capping registration at 32 teams with a waitlist formed after 32 teams have registered. The registration fee is $275.00 payable via check or credit card. Invoices will be emailed to the team lead 24 hours after registration.
See Week Zero 2024 for more information and to register.
We will also be looking for volunteers to help with field setup, queueing, refereeing, and field disassembly. Please message me if you are interested in helping!
Yeah - I’ve been trying since a couple of minutes before. I am wondering if the snow storm and schools closed is impacting this. I sent Zach an email (don’t have his phone number handy) but haven’t heard back. (the Google info shows the page hasn’t been updated in 5 days)
Team 1073 will be making our scouting data available publicly at https://public.viperscout.com/ Network connectivity permitting, we plan to upload data to the public as we get it off the scouting tablets.
if your team would like to team up and scout with us, please let me know.
@Fowler509 Is there a plan this year for team power in the pits addressing the issue of tripping breakers constantly? We remember that being an issue last time.
Do we have a stream link for the event yet? I assume it can be watched on TBA Gameday, but it would be nice to have a direct stream link to give to family and friends who don’t necessarily know how to use gameday.
Last year Week 0 was on the FIRSTFRC Events site and in the FRC API: Week 0 FRC Event Web : Watch Live The 2024 event isn’t listed yet, maybe it will be? Maybe it will use the same Twitch channel as last year too
I can test most of our scouting system with events from previous years. Match schedules don’t change in the API from year to year, for example.
The part that I can’t implement for 2024 yet is how the match scores get broken down. I’m assuming we’ll get note counts for each alliance in the various targets and stages of the game, but we haven’t seen the fields that will be in the JSON from the API yet.
