How to Stay YPP-Compliant
Every year, I look for ways to make shirt trading an even safer experience. The below policies are designed to remove any need for student/adult 1-on-1 interactions. Remember, there should never be 1-on-1 conversations between students and adults.
On Chief Delphi:
When you create a DM, click the flag on the bottom right of the message. This will automatically include a CD admin on DM. I like to include in my opening message that I’m looping admin in for YPP-compliance, just so everyone is on the same page.
On Discord
The discord server now has a ticketing bot to handle trading. To start a trade with someone, find the #open-a-trade channel and click the “create ticket” button. This will automatically create a private channel on the server with yourself and the admins. Then, type /add [user] to pull in the person you are trading with. All messages are automatically logged. You can click “close ticket” when your trade is good to go.
At Competition
Conduct your trade in public spaces in view of others, like the stands. It’s also good practice to take a buddy with you. Never agree to meet up in private spaces like hotels, restaurants, or other places away from your team and event.
Shirt auction data - Trying to make a database of what different items have sold for in the past to help people get a general sense of what is worth what. If you have data for this sort of thing, DM me!

Team 1189 Gearheads will be attending the following events this season, and we will have multiple students who will be happy to trade team shirts.
FIM Woodhaven District Qualifier (Week 2)
FIM Macomb Community College District Qualifier (Week 5)
FIM State Championship (Week 6) (if we qualify)
FIRST Championship (Week 8) (maybe if we qualify)
My fellow team members had multiple great experiences interacting with fellow teams last season through shirt trading, and I know they would certainly like to continue this into the future, so feel free to come on by to our pit/stands at any of these events if you would like to add a stylish Team Shirt to your collection!

We are lucky enough to have prequalified for the Championship this year, and are also attending the East Bay Regional, so im happy to be able to start setting up trades early!
As well as 5985 shirts, I will be loading up on Tim Tams. Likely to be bringing 20lbs maybe more if people are keen.
