Is this open to pre-college students? Do you have a preferred experience level (years of education or anything)?

Very cool to see TTB growing to have interns!

Can you share any information on what a Software-focused intern at TTB might be working on, or what experience areas of software would be most needed?

Absolutely! A software intern will aid in the assistance of both embedded firmware and user facing libraries. They may also be asked to generate example code for teams to reference. C and Java experience is preferred.

To go off of this, could you also elaborate on what a Mechanical Design-focused or an Electrical Design-focused intern at TTB might be working on, and what experiences/qualifications are desired/a necessity?

Sure. A Mechanical focused position would be focused on some stand alone mechanical parts, working on generating CAD packages, testing, redesign, retesting, etc. as well as potentially some kitting of parts. They may be involved in supporting existing product updates as well as new product development.

An Electrical focused position will be focused on one or two different PCBA projects, depending on experience level. They will be expected to help support design work, documentation, board bring up, and testing.

The interns will have design flexibility and ownership, with regularly scheduled meetings to ensure they have the support they need to succeed.

I can’t share too much more than that here, but we are excited to share with the community what all we have been working on, and the intern will have an excellent opportunity to impact new products for the FRC community!

Yes indeed.

I believe per Colorado law, and laws from other states, you are required to post the pay range for this position since it is a remote position, unless applications are limited to Michigan state residents. Section 4.1 of this document for Colorado, though I’m not familiar on the laws from other states with similar requirements (such as California).

(obligatory I’m not a lawyer, just trying to help out)

Intern should expect a pay range of between 12 and 20 dollars per hour, depending on experience. Google form will be updated to reflect this. Thanks for the tip!
