We’ve had plenty of interest from local teams for our MAXSwerve covers (and have shared those with them when asked!). They worked great, and even held up to a robot driving right over them. Simple 2-part print superglued together, with some nice branding on them.
As much as I dislike reversible bumpers^, that stitching and assembly looks immaculate.
Honestly I am here for the bumper pictures now
^dragging fabric and bumper longevity issues as the noodles see 2x wear
Can’t argue with any of that, other than to say that I don’t think we had any dragging issues. We tend to go back and forth on bumpers - reversible last year, but two sets the year before. Reversible take a lot longer to make, but we’ve always struggled with alignment issues when we do 2. I think we might be past the alignment issues with the Plummer Industries bumper mounts though, they worked great (along with full use of our CNC machine) last year.
We had a couple of students that spent a LOT of time on those bumpers last year, and some great mentors who taught them how to sew properly :). During our team retreat this year, we spent some time teaching everyone on the team to sew, adding pockets to their school-required skirts - it’s definitely a good skill for everyone to have!
