24V cRIO digital output help

The manual does not specify how to do this other than the alternate ‘schematic’.

Can someone please point me in the right direction for using digital input/output on the cRIO?

I’m a little bit confused about your question. Which are you trying to figure out?

  • How to hook up a 24v Solenoid
  • How to hook up a 12v Solenoid
  • How to use the digital sidecar to attach I/O devices
  • Something else not here

We know how to hook it up according to the schematics, but from a C++ standpoint we don’t know what to do. The manual only says for the digital sidecars and not the modules on the cRIO.

If you’re talking about the NI 9472 Digital Output module, that’s controlled using the Solenoid class.
