This is just downright beautiful
My god.
Missed opportunity for a womprat name
Is that steel or what kind of aluminum are you using? Usually when we buy aluminum it comes in shiny/ sliver (with a few exceptions )
How does it float?
The Magic of Lazy Susan
Filled the frame with helium.
(On a serious note: this thing only weighs in at ~97 lbs)
swerve and a turret. that’s just beautiful in combination
Steel. 4130. Much easier to weld.
Steel tubing frames really are underutilized in FRC. I suppose the main disadvantage that jumps to mind is that the smaller tubing (in order to have comparable weight) has a lot less real estate for mounting holes and whatnot. The sheet metal work you guys have done beautifully circumvents that though, and you guys have probably ended up saving a lot of weight on fasteners and brackets no longer needed to hold the frame together.
Very nice stuff.
Is that an IR camera?
Nope, regular Raspberry Pi v2 camera. No special sauce there. Not running a Limelight though.
What are the tubes above the magazine for?
Does your shooter hood roll up like a garage door?
What are all those black loops for? (above the hopper) I am thinking they are for catching rebounds?
Like a roll top desk.
They make up the hopper. Balls drop in on them and are ingested.
How can something this amazingly mind-blowing be made to look so easy?!?! Oh, it’s because it’s our friends over on 2767! They make the impossible into the ordinary. Phenomenal job. Can’t wait to see you in action.
What truly amazes me is the targeting system, fastest ive seen so far.
