Hello all,
Just wanted to release everything we have been working on since worlds in order to comply with R303 and potentially help anyone who will find some value. These will be OnShape links with some brief descriptions. If anyone has any questions please feel free to ask and myself or one of our team members will be happy to help clarify anything. Some of these were merely CAD exercise, while others were refinements on existing designs.
2024 Swerve - this module is not too different from what we ran in season in 2023, but we added a UP option for Azimuth if we want to pivot to these gearboxes. Base is one flat routered plate with printed mounts for the motors and “saddle.”
2024 Configurable Chassis - no changes from the chassis we ran in season in 2023, but this was made parametric so we spend less time on it next week.
90 Degree Actuator - we did some experimenting with printed bevel gears on our end effector in the 2023 season, and this applies some of those learnings to make a printed 90 degree planetary adaptor. Double plus as it doubles as a female hex shaft coupler for the gearbox it is attached to.
FRC Field - as Cory alluded to a few weeks ago, this may be the strongest field ever built. It is welded steel bolted down to a concrete floor. I kicked it really hard and it did more damage to me than I did to it.
Printed Ratchet - this is a configurable 3D printed (onyx) ratchet we played with with a hex bore and a servo cam-follower release.
Configurable Shooter - this is a configurable shooter modeled after the hooded shooter we used in 2022.
