Ever wondered how 2910 robots always seem to end up so dang short? Find out tonight! After a successful pilot last week, we’re launching a recurring series by Jack in the Bot - Pop-Up Presentations! Tune in to Jack in the Bot fall training sessions being livestreamed on our YouTube channel.
This week, join Jack in the Bot mentors Steve Kaneb and Evan Morrison as we break down the decision-making processes of the last 6 years of Jack in the Bot robots tonight (Wednesday 10/18) at 6:30pm PDT. We’ll be taking questions from 2910 students and the chat, as well as ideas for future topics. Don’t forget to check out last week’s broadcast recording on Modern FRC Games, Strategy and Designs covering 2005 through 2023, and make sure to subscribe to the channel to get notifications when we go live! The plan is to hold these sessions weekly on Wednesdays this fall, but some weeks may be on a different day.
This is great! I came across last week’s livestream by chance, really enjoyed it and encouraged my team to tune in as well. Looking forward to tonight’s presentation.
EDIT: Postponed to a future date due to presenter illness
How does 2910 figure out what our robot is going to be and when? We’ll break it down tonight in Jack in the Bot’s continuing series, Pop-Up Presentations!
This week, Jack in the Bot mentors Steve Kaneb and Evan Morrison walk through the engineering design process and the Week 1 activities that get us from Kickoff to the robot we’re going to build for the season tonight, Wednesday (10/25), at 6:30pm PDT. We’ll be taking questions from 2910 students and the chat, as well as ideas for future topics! If you’re new, make sure to check out the playlist of past recordings and subscribe to the channel to get notifications when we go live!
The key to a successful match performance is all the stuff that happens in-between matches to make sure our robot and team are ready when we get on the field. In Jack in the Bot’s continuing series, mentors Steph Morrison and Steve Kaneb will be presenting some best practices for systems checks and robot maintenance, including a number of lessons learned and improvement items 2910 is looking at implementing for the 2024 season.
The presentation will be broadcast live on the 2910 YouTube channel tonight (Wednesday 11/15) at 6:30pm PST, and as always we’ll be taking questions from the chat!
