The FIRST Alumni and Mentors Network at Michigan (FAMNM) invites your team to join us for the 2nd Annual Robotics Forums event, hosted at the University of Michigan.
The event will feature some of the brightest minds in FIRST presenting seminars on topics of their choice, ranging from strategic design, troubleshooting, training drivers, and more! The event is great for training new members, maximizing your team’s performance in the upcoming season, and learning something new.
The following is a preliminary list of seminars featured at this year’s event. Note that we are still in the process of confirming additional seminars.

FRC Robot Design Process:
Ryan Legato and Michael Schreiber, Team 67We will cover the process Team 67 uses to design the robot each season. From the moment the game is revealed to the last match of the season. We will also cover solutions we have found in the past, that can be reused for future games. -
How to Select Gear Ratios:
Basel Alghanem, formerly Team 3322Are you bamboozled about how to pick the right gearing for your drivetrain, shooter, arm, or intake? I’ll cover everything from the factors to consider in each situation to specific recommendations for the most common FRC problems. -
DIY Diagnostics:
Aaron Willcock, FTA/CSA/Team 217A crash course in FRC Control and Field Management System Diagnostics. This seminar covers the chain of control from Driver Station to FMS to RoboRio and details diagnostic tools used by FTAs and CSAs. -
QFD & Strategy; How to come to the right design quickly:
