My team has MK4 Neo swerve modules and we have our modules mounted to the frame where the frame is above the main plate. Anyone have cad for swerve module covers that have motor controllers connected to the cover for this configuration?
Please note that you probably don’t want to mount motor controllers to plastic. The controllers get hot during use and should be mounted to metal to dissipate the heat. Mounting to plastic could potentially cause the controllers to get too hot or the plastic to melt.
this is probably wrong, my bad
I have not heard this before and have had inspectors strongly encourage us to mount our electronics to a non conductive (polycarbonate or wood) board. Is this a manufacturer recommendation?
I haven’t seen it on any official guide, but our mentors have been telling us this for a while, so I assumed it was true.

We mount motor controllers to polycarb all the time, never had a problem.
