What type of Speed Controllers were used for the robots in 1997?
Name 4 robots that had the ability to steal balls out of the goal in 2000 that were in the elimination rounds at the National Championship.
What robot used a suction cup on a tether to secure the ball in the 3 point rail in 1998?
Sorry about the lack of standings, I hope to do so tonight depending on when I get out of class. Crazy weekend with the Patriots winning the superbowl and all…you know how it is
131 - Chaos, 47 - ChiefDelphi, 25 - Raider Robotix, 45 - TechnoKats (we had the ability, although we were less competent at doing it compared to these other three)
Team 16, 25, 47, and 131. 16 had a roller that could steal ball from the side of the goal, 25 had an arm extended from the bar to the top of the goal, 47 had a basket that could get balls from the top of the goal, and 131 had a lift with a little arm that take balls from the top of the goal.
It was probably 16, but I’m going to guess 175 Buzz Robotics just to be different. Plus, they started with a smiley inside their suction cup one year so…
The ancient Tekin Rebel speed controllers. They ran at low temperatures during high-speed operations, hot at slow speeds, and roasting in reverse. They also had a package of capacitors that were not recommended to be installed. And they had a battery eliminator circuit of some kind. =)
You guys were still pretty good at it. Take a look at qf1m2 on this page. Watch as teams 47 and 45 work together to get rid of a 5 pt. ball as time expires. This move turned an 18-15 loss into a 15-13 victory. One of the cooler things that I’ve seen at a FIRST competition.
