3 stage climber help

Stupid question about how climbers work. We’re planning on using a 3 stage climber for the stage and we want maximum lift to be able to reach the trap. We want the base of our climber to be at 6 3/4 inch to get the lift we need, but I have questions about diminishing returns.
Our current measurements are a 6 3/4 base with 4 1/3 for each of the 3 stages. With the chassis, claw, and brackets this translates to being able to reach about 31.5 inches for a 28 1/4 chain.
But I was wondering if we could have a 6 3/4 base with a 6 1/3 for each 3 stage. this way we could reach a lot further along the chain, and it wouldn’t be as much of a risk. But could we get off the ground as far, and would it cost us anything to extend these stages?

This is a stupid question simply bc I don’t know anything about it.

If the size of your stages is the only thing you are changing, you will still pick up off the ground to the same height. It all depends how high your hook starts. because your base stays the same, it shouldn’t really change your pull up height
