3 Year Memorial

Incase you forgot, it’s the 3 year anaversary of 9/11. Depending on your idea of terrorism, this was the worst case.

Here is a good one, it is kinda long. I can’t explain it in words its very deep.

Make sure your speakers are on.

It was tough to watch that, even three years later.

For those of us who lived that day in time, it will always be tough to watch.

I was disappointed in my local news stations. During broadcasting this morning, it was mentioned that news channels may or may not carry the memorial after a certain point in time. So happened, after appx. 9:30 am, my local news channels stopped broadcasting. I believe they should of broadcasted on all news channels just as a reminder to every American why we are still fighting for freedom abroad.

… always remembered :frowning:

That was hard to watch. I had seen the “Why the Towers Fell” Documentary, and then the hour of what they are doing after the fall. It was so difficult to watch the towers fall over and over…seeing the faces of the victims and survivors. I couldn’t bear to watch it sometimes. It breaks my heart everytime I think about it.
What this has taught us is we need to band together, no matter what race, ethnicity, religion, color we are, and show the terrorists that we are not afraid, and we will fight to the end for the peace and justice we long for.
A million and one thank yous go out to the fire and police departments, who sacrificed their own lives to rescue as many people as they did. And also to the troops who are deported even as I type this, who are defending our country and representing it. You did/are doing so much, risked/are risking so much, and we all thank you from the bottom of our hearts for doing what many of us could not/would not have been able to do.
God bless America!

Dear fellow Americans
No offense, but if anybody forgot that fact today they chould be dropped kicked over the nearest border. I do not care if you are Democrat, Republican, Green, or Purple for all I care. No person living within these borders should ever forget 9/11 nor any day of such magnitude (i.e. Pearl Harbor which sadly many do forget) Viva America!

P.S. I know others from outside these border prowl this site as we now have teams world wide. And I would understand if you did not immedialty remember about it being 9/11 but I am sure you still know what it is and its importance to AMerica hence my exasperation for any American who forgot, not that that would need to be explained or anything.

Any way that is the end of my rave have a nice day folks

First of all, if you’re going to write something offensive prefacing it with something along the lines of “no offense” doesn’t nullify the venom in your words.

You can’t personally legislate that everyone in this country is required to remember, recognize, and mourn every September 11th. Feel free to try to push such legislation through Congress, but you’ll get no support from me. You’ll have about as much success as you would if you tried to pass a law stating that every American must remember, unaided, that it takes exactly 270 electoral votes to clinch the presidency. People have the right to think for themselves and remember, forget, or ignore days such as July 4, December 7, September 11, or any other important day in American history. I don’t put up an American flag on those days, and I don’t really celebrate July 4. I’m allowed to do this, I’m an American citizen, and you shouldn’t suggest that I should be “drop kicked” across the border if I don’t meet your required amount of mourning/remembrance.

It sucks that so many people died on September 11, 2001. It sucks that so many Americans, Afghanis, Australians, British, Indonesians, Iraqis, Israelis, Pakistanis, Palestinians, Russians, and Spaniards (among many others) have died since then. But if it took September 11th to make you realize that we aren’t safe here in America, and if you believe that we’re any better off right now, then I wish I could be as blissfully naïve as you are/were. It’s only a matter of time before what happened in Beslan happens here in America, and I would hope to God, if I believed in one, that it doesn’t personally impact any of us on these boards.
