It is too early to start.
Will it be Battlebots?

Again?

I find your lack of faith (in the CD community) disturbing.
I’m really excited to use some of the new anti-grav components from Andymark
I’m hoping this thread is gonna get resurrected in 3019
Maybe we’ll still be using vBulletin then, too!
Nuclear fallout, rocks, and sticks game confirmed.
while we’re at it, let’s start discussing the 13019 game.
FIRST Robotics in 3019 will just be an everyday sports event - just as though football and baseball is.
Message from Zaphod B (& from the future - WARNING: SPOILER): With humans having no physical bodies after the mass consciousness upload of 2834, FRC took some odd turns… Initially, it was water game after water game, because in a virtual environment the challenges can be easily mitigated (unlike in the real world). People… errr… Virtualized human consciousnesses soon became bored of that though, and so then there were space robot games of increasing scale, followed by nanobot scale games with molecules or viruses as the game pieces, and so on with countless varying fads and phases. By the time the 30-teens’s rolled around, humanity was bored with virtuality altogether and decided to do a mass consciousness DOWNload back into the actual physical universe. Of course, robots are sturdier than mortal human bodies, so humans chose to “be” robots of all shapes and sizes (each with wicked auto you might say). From then on, a human sport from the golden pre-virtual age was selected each year by FRC, human DNA was used to synthesize human bodies, and the robots competed by remote controlling the synthetic humans. in 3019, the game selected was curling. Unfortunately, the remote control was intermittently flaky, resulting in stalls and frustrating fouls at times.
Watergame, except all the water is either frozen or gaseous and the robots must be made of liquid water.
There will be no 3019 game owing to the robot uprising brought upon by the FIRST game in 2035 after which the robots revolted and turned upon their human drivers.
…and then turned the programmers into heroes for their work in making the robots sentient.
I hope it’s not another forty-two alliances of forty-two teams game, those are always hard on spectators to figure out what is going on in the playing space. Oh, and why is Mercury always out of bounds? What does the GDC have against it?
I’m personally thinking that we get a new Quantum Processer in the KOP, it’s been a few years since we got a new one, and I am thinking the qRIO is the one, it has 2048 q-bits, compared to the 1024 that we have now, and it’s only a million $ more.
Hopefully this time the GDC’s learned their lesson. The C̹̳͠ ̟̼͕̼͕U̷̠͙̹͈͙͕ ͎̗͖̹̫͈̕B͈̬̯͇͞ͅ ̣͕͚͙͉̣́E̖ on last year’s field blocked all of the action.
