3309 seeking mentors

Team 3309 is looking for new mentors. We are based out of Servite High School of Anahiem California. Our team composes of students from Servite, Rosary and Connelly high schools. We particularly need more programing mentors because most of our current programming mentors attend college. Of course, we are looking for mentors in all areas:
Mechanical
Electrical
Programming
Finance
Marketing
and etc.

We have a large team approaching 40-50 students. We can sure use some more mentors. It will be an exciting year for us, we just obtain a house that Servite owns on campus. We are in the middle of turning the garage into a machine shop, the rest of the house into acomputer lab and soon we will be pouring concrete to build our own outside practice field (yes we have ridiculously nice weather). now is the perfect time to join, we would greatly appreciate input from new mentors to make our new home better.

We may not have mentor bacon but we do have laundry services…err I’ll work on getting bacon.

If you are interested in joining, just contact me or Dave via CD. We are meeting almost every Saturday, visitors are welcome to stop by to see.

Just wanted to keep this thread close to the top of the portal,

Servite/Rosary/Connelly have put a tremendous team together in a short amount of time. Coupled with the new resources I am sure they will be even better next year.

As an Alumnus of Servite, if anyone is in the north Orange County area then by all means check them out. They have something good going on over there.

Unfortunately for me… I am in the same boat prepping our new team workspace for the January build season in Redondo. Best of luck!

Will you be putting a snowplow on your robot for that outdoor field? Oh wait, not everyone has to deal with that, do they? Seriously though, my first thought about your comment about the garage was “is it insulated and/or heated?” :stuck_out_tongue:

I hope you guys find some excellent mentors.

We may take our weather for granted a bit
We’ve always practiced outside, but in a parking lot, having to set up and take down the field daily. Now with our own permanent full-sized field it should be 10x better.
