After seeing the success of some other team with 8 wheel mechanum drive and reading on the frc discord about how good mechanum is we decided to try and make our own! We haven’t built this yet or finished the cad but it could be an option for 2020! But instead of 8 wheels we decided to do 8 of the new birdie motor things and 16 mechanum wheels!
I must admit, I am most disappointed. You use 16 wheels, obviously for the traction, yet you are geared for 16 feet per second! How can you expect to be able to push other robots without a shifter?
