This was our 2nd Annual NIRDS Event. Last year we co-hosted it at Penn High School with team 135. Thank you @AndrewFRC135 for all your help with setting up and running the FMS system. I know we’ll get it for next year, especially now that you own all that stuff for it lol.
This year was our turn to host and it could not have gone better. This is the first time that all 10 Northern Indiana FRC teams are in one place at the same time outside of a FIRST Indiana Robotics District Event. We tried to run a full FMS, but couldn’t quite get it running. This will definitely be something we explore in the off season for next years NIRDS.
We love seeing everyone working together to ensure that all our students have their best experience at our first competition in a few weeks. Everyone spent a ton of time helping each other with programing, making parts on the waterjet, and practicing some strategy. It was truly Coopetition at its finniest.
Mark your calendars as this is the start of the Northern Indiana Robotics Alliance that will one day sweep our State Championship. Central Indiana teams…watch out. Important to Note(pun intended)…some of our best friends are on Central Indiana Robotics Teams. But you are walking into our house on Friday so be prepared…also we miss you guys so much and can’t wait to play robots with you all xoxoxoxoxo

Somehow, with all this going on, we also made a Robot Reveal. I’m super proud of the kids, with about 10 Snow days this year. The media team was able to make this for premier night with only 2 days with the robot.
