7222’s 2019 bot: BRANDY

Team 7222 the Fighting Anomalocari presents their 2019 bot: Brandy.
Features:
Six wheel traditional tank drivetrain with medium traction wheels.
Cargo scoring in both the cargo ship and all levels of the rocket
A passive centering hatch panel mechanism allowing for quicker hatch manipulation.
Level 2 climb
High inertial value, ideal for playing against defense.
AnomalocarisVision targeting system: three main dual sensor depth modules, one single camera game piece placement module.
Brandy will be dropping hatch panels and being fixed in the pits at FIM Jackson and FIM Lansing. She will NOT be competing at MSCMP or Detroit CMP as far as we know.
All in all, Brandy is a fine girl.

You’re gonna want to check the pneumatic rules for that modified air tank.

It’s a Cricut sticker, so it’s legal per R83

Where exactly does your robot’s name fall under R83?

What are you using for drive, looks like a good robot nice job

It’s a label. We named the pneumatic tank Brandy too.

Thanks

To be blunt, it’s a kitbot.

100% will not pass. Naming your tank “brandy” does not all under R83E at all…

So 2 sims on each side?

Yes, 2 CIM per side. For the pneumatics, we didn’t modify the tank. It’s a label on top of the tank. We can take it off if we need too.

I think you’ll be fine. It is a label

118 put a rocketship around theirs. If that passes, then stickers will

That’s what I thought too. Just put in a Q&A just to be sure

Let me know what the inspectors say. I’d put labels on my air tanks too… IF I HAD ANY

Strongly disagree. The tank’s functional purpose is to contain distilled wine spirits (except during matches when it stores compressed air), and as such, the label is appropriate.

Exactly.

I don’t think it should be illegal. Its not really modifying the tanks but i’ve seen teams burned for this in the past by the LRI.

I think it would serve a better function if it just kept the distilled beverage anyways…

Fortunately, the LRIs are reasonable in FIM. i think

IDK about that. had a FIM inspector at Champs last year. LONGEST inspection i’ve ever had from a non rookie inspector. never see an inspector look that hard at bumpers in my life…
