After a great year for Team 772, and my last year as a student on the team, we have made a video to recap it all.
The Sabre Bytes completed their 12th FRC Season yesterday! Here’s a small summary of what happened this year!
-We won 4 awards, Entrepreneurship, Safety, and Spirit twice!
-We were Quarter Finalists in all of our regionals, losing 1 of them in the third match.
-We finished with a record of 20-19-1, having a really tough schedule at two of the regionals.
-At Waterloo one of our students won The FIRST Dean’s List Finalist Award.
-We created and mentored 3 Rookie teams, one of which was Finalists at GTR West.
Though there is much MUCH more that happened these were a few things that we are pretty proud of!
Enjoy!
Aaron, congrats on a couple great seasons, especially with some very tough events in your area. You have a successful future ahead of you in FRC still. Hope you keep it up!
Don’t be so modest. Everyone, Aaron here is the Dean’s List Finalist! He’s been an amazing asset to 772 through his 4+ years on the team, and will continue to be a huge supporter of FIRST throughout the rest of his career.
Thats a really great video, I enjoyed it a lot! The robot POVs are quite interestingly framed and those are some high quality photos (kudos to the photographer of the close up robot ones on field). Congratulations on becoming a Dean’s List Finalist!
Great video! It was well edited (performed, for future analogy), and fun to watch, just like your robot.
I watched two of your events (wat+FLR) and elims on the third, and enjoyed each one. I love watching your robot play! You had a great robot this season, and a good run, hopefully next year you’ll make it far into CMP elims! That’s the level of robot and level of play you showed this year.
Also, Aaron, even if we haven’t met, it was a pleasure to know you this year. You can be serious when needed, fun when not, you care about FIRST more than anything else. You’re a true FIRSTer.
Thanks Rachel Some of the videos were done using a GoPro that our Pogramming mentor has. He also took some of the close up pictures. I was the one wearing the GoPro where you saw my hands putting in the frisbees during Auto and my view while driving, both of which I thought were really cool looking! Another one of our mentors/parents has been the videographer for almost all of our matches since 2010 when his son and my friend/partner in driving joined the team.
Thanks for the kind words and your suppoet for 772 Bar I know a bunch of us have become pretty good friends on facebook and I sure hope to meet you at worlds one year!
Amazing season for you guys and here’s to you rapidly becoming a Canadian powerhouse! (Hope I never have to have my team compete in Canada…we’re quite content with just having to deal with the R7 Lee’s Summit Triple [strike]Alliance[/strike] threat)
77Who!
771! Go SWAT
(P.S. Does anyone else hear 77Who in a Karthik-esque voice?)
