8033 Opens Lovat Dashboard With Live Chezy Data

Team 8033 is proud to launch Lovat: our data-driven scouting and strategic analysis system.

The first to wear ghillie camouflage suits, Lovat scouts now have an exhibit at The Highlanders’ Museum in Scotland. We decided to name our scouting system after them because their innovative and creative spirit resonates with who we are.

Lovat Dashboard, along with all of our scouting data for Chezy Champs will be available to everyone during the event!

If you are interested in using the full system (Lovat Collection and Lovat Dashboard) for your upcoming season, please use this opportunity to download Lovat Dashboard and preview everything it has to offer. The full Lovat system will be available starting this coming season.

For the 2024 season, the Lovat apps, server, and documentation will be updated with new features:

  • Pit scouting in Lovat Collection, with the ability to take photos of robots

  • EPA calculation with our own data (team specific instead of alliance data)

  • Secure authentication

  • Polishing of Lovat Collection’s onboarding and game starting pages

  • A centralized server that allows any team to add to and view all of the existing data in the server.

    • A page will be added to the website making setting up the system for your team as simple as pressing a few buttons
    • A web version of Lovat Dashboard will be added to the website, making it easy to use on desktop.

As we make these updates, detailed information will be posted on the Lovat website.

Our team used the system for the Central Valley and Monterey Bay Regionals, as well as the 2023 World Championship. We are excited to share Lovat Dashboard once again! Thanks to teams 4131 and 3044 for being early testers of our full system.

This look really cool! I do have one question, how much of this works at events with no Wi-Fi or cellular access? I see you have QR code scanning, does that allow you to do analysis/pick lists on just on computer after importing the data?

Why did Hightide get a 4000s number? They started in 2019, and aren’t a second team or team merger to my knowledge.

We have been able to do that with the current system in a bit unpolished way. However, for the 2024 season we plan on making it easy for everyone to do analysis full offline!
