8096 Cache Money: 2024 Robot - Snoop Hogg

8096 is proud to present it’s robot for the 2024 season: Snoop Hogg!

Cache Money will be competing at the Greater Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, and Midwest Regionals weeks 1, 3, and 5.

Below is a video of the robot auto-aligning, climbing, scoring in the trap, and dismounting all with automated controls.

We should have more information about the robot posted next week.

Love the robot architecture! And that climb lock that looks to be integrated with the shooter is slick.

Wow! This is really cool.

It’s the little things that count.

Let’s play a game… how many can you spot!

Awesome!

Reminds me of 5987 Galaxia!

I love the logo cutouts!

Nice work guys. Can’t wait to see this tomorrow.

Climber integrated into shooter hood is sick, reminds me of 2022 2910.

Best of luck and see you at Midwest

Any reasoning for the dual RSLs?

Symmetry of course!

Here is our new go-to autonomous for this weekend at the Wisconsin Regional. It is a 5.5 note auto that starts in the center subwoofer location, and utilizes all three close notes, and then intakes and shoots the second note from the amp side off the center line, finally driving to intake the closest note to the amp on the center line (this video is from Tuesday, we have since sped up the last couple moved to get to the 6th note in time to intake).

Video of 5.(Almost 5) Auto

We also have a 3.5 note autonomous that starts on the source side of the subwoofer and works to grab all 3 notes off the center line towards the source side.

Finally, we have made some minor refinements to our trap climb by pulling the chain slightly further down into the robot to make the score into the trap more reliable. We were able to see a 6/6 successful trap run in practice matches today, so hopefully that translates to some extra RP over the next couple of days.

We saw some intermittent but persistent CAN errors that plagued our entire weekend week 1 at the Pittsburgh Regional. We since have re-wired the entire CAN-bus on the robot to remedy this, and are excited to start to realize our robots potential this weekend.

Good luck to everyone at the Wisconsin Regional and everyone competing week 3!
