Versa Planetary? From what little I know they are slightly stronger than ultras

Our gripper required independent articulation from either fingers so we needed two motors.

If I am using a planetary gearbox I’m going with Andymark’s CIM sport or 57 sport.

Definitely would plug MAXPlanetary here too if you guys haven’t tried it. Probably the best product REV has IMO.

f I am using a planetary gearbox I’m going with Andymark’s CIM sport or 57 sport. They are heavier, bigger and more expensive, but I have never had one of them fail on me.

I’ve always been a fan of them as well due to quality and craftsmanship. They are from Banebots. But with the introduction of MAX Planetary gearboxes from REV this year, we like and will continue to use those instead. The weight differences are significant and the quality is good for FRC applications.

It really reminds me of the packaging of Strike Zone’s robot this year, probably because it’s 3D Printed.

Just discovered this. I had a daydream about trying to make one last year so it nice to see someone trying it out. Using the can of the 550 is an intriguing idea. Thanks for putting it out there.
