The existence of a CD mentor forum has been mentioned in exactly two posts, from 2021:

Like others, looking for “close” regionals. We have two that are driveable daily. A third is doable as a daily drive, but miserable. Everything else requires overnight stays. In a Mentor Forum post I toyed with the idea of doing 2-3 local regionals and ignoring a potential champs invite to avoid flights, hotels, etc. We haven’t gotten to event logistics yet… a long way off. But minimizing students in cars they don’t own is a big consideration.

The private lounge area still exists, it’s just so exclusive that no one can get in.

(I do think removing the abilities from Regular is a good thing considering how relatively quickly I got it – and how quickly other people can get it – and giving power to a kid who is minorly addicted to a robotics forum doesn’t sound too smart.)

I think the idea is to prevent potential spammers and bots from being distributive and abusing the function of the forum. There’s very little destructive potential for a human person with any semblance of reasonable intentions.
