Hi!! I’m thinking for a low(less then 0.76m) and shooter robot, but the problem is, how do that if I want he seve 5 balls? Is it possible?
Just a student with a question…
Totally possible
perhaps a intake that is also a hopper and then a delivery to the shooter that holds two balls similar to this
We haven’t started prototyping yet, but one of our ideas is for a “wide” launcher, using a tube instead of a wheel as the spinning thing to make the balls fly. The ball path would be at least two balls wide, and fully conveyor from intake to launcher.
Got shipping notification from AM today that our balls should be here next Thursday…I ordered them Monday…I guess they’ve been really busy!
That would be fun to see
definitely prototype. we tried this in 2017 and it did not work at all. maybe it will work better for you guys though!
We did that for VRC Nothing but Net with 3 balls launched in parallel. Crazy machine and oddly enough no one else tried! Innovate award video submission here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTfw3mIeFbI
We have built similar launchers using a wide roller in the past, but only for one ball at a time. One of those won us a blue ribbon as a dumper, one a blue ribbon as a low goal robot, the other managed to shoot only one ball in the high goal per regional.
Look at Ri3D Snow Problem’s reveal video for inspiration! Best wishes for success this year!
