A perspective from the COVID-19 front lines

For all of us struggling with the recent event cancellation announcements, and their negative impact to our FRC lives, I’d like to share this perspective written by a doctor in Italy. I personally think it does a wonderful job putting things in perspective, and highly recommend taking the time to read.

Thank you for sharing this; I agree. Although many people (myself included) are understandably devastated that their school/FIRST/the government has taken away their ability to attend FRC competitions, even though we won’t die from the coronavirus, older or immunocompromised people are going to catch it from us and need hospital beds, medical care, and help overwork our medical care workers. It’s not about us.

(However, I do think that the article is slightly extreme and tends towards fear-mongering, but is a good eye-opener nonetheless)
