I recently shortened the RSL cable to avoid cable confusion. Later we had to change the position of Roborio and I couldn’t find the cable that I cut to re-extend the RSL. Will there be any problems if we use yellow and black cables ?
To the best of my knowledge(and based off some quick research) yellow is legal.

Actually, I would suggest to just use another length of min 20 or 22 awg red and black wire and try to solder and shrink tube it to your RSL wires. The best I think is that you can use red and black, first, it will be easier for you guys to fix the robot considering that you won’t mistake it for CAN bus in the confusion, and second, it will give the robot inspector an easier time checking your robot.

I agree. It is better to keep things consistent. But when not possible it would be legal.
