A question on SHIPPING

I tried to open a new thread in the “rules” but it wouldn’t allow anymore “new threads” in that forum. So my question is regarding the shipping of “robots” - If a team builds more than 1 robot, is it within the rules to ship 1 of them to compete at say the “Ohio buckeye regional” and bring the other on the bus that they travel in and walk the 2nd into the “pits” the day of practice? And if that’s the case is it also “Legal” for “ANY TEAM” to show up at a Regional and “WALK THEIR ROBOT IN” to compete??? If these are within the rules then basically all teams have an extra 2 weeks to work on the robots before competing. I saw this last year time and time again and this year it was no different at the 1st regional we went to. Please can someone help me answer these questions as I am truly stumped?

i can tell you its No on all question,

It is very illeagal to do, i think one team did this last year, and got banned from the comp, You can walk parts in, but not whole robots

How does one go about reporting these violations as I asked about it at the "Buckeye"regional and a FIRST rep. couldn’t tell me, I even told the rep. that I heard this year there would be cards available to report such suspicions. It’s a shame to because the team I saw walk in a robot won the “Buckeye” regional.

Well, unfortunatly I dont work for FIRST, IF you read the manual you will see that is say the robot HAS TO BE SHIPPED within the 6 weeks
my suggestion to you, instead of asking people that most likely cannot help you, is contact FIRST

Oh, Thank you for the wise advice, I thought THIS was a discussion forum that was meant for just such rhetoric. I did read the rules about shipping the robot and that’s why I assumed it was illegal to “ship the 1st robot and walk the 2nd one in” And if you ever tried asking for help from FIRST, you would know it is not meant as a “discussion forum”… Thanks though. I’m thinking “VIDEO TAPE”
