Amazing! And did you see their HUGE Robot carts!

This is cool!

That A380 is a pretty amazing jet, I’ve had my eye on it’s development for a long while now… Just need to get myslef a ticket onboard one. :stuck_out_tongue: (Are there even any carriers flying them yet?)

Holy cow. It’s so massive that it doesn’t always look real. That jet is a marvel of engineering.

Those wings going thru the city at night is amazing

THEY ARE HUGE!

I think the giant fuselage robot carts arnt actully robot i think i saw a cab on one for a driver to sit in

Those engines are huge…if anybody is into huge engines check out fairbanks morse…those are huge engines

I believe their first commercial flight will be in 2007 under Singapore Airlines.

Actually, if everything goes as planned, regular passenger flights will start in late 2006 with Singapore.

Also, here’s another time lapse video of an A346 (A340-600) being built.

I believe those are GP7000 engines. I don’t know the fan case size but it’s bigger than a 112" fan case PW4098. I’m trying to dig up a picture of me standing in a 4098 when co-oped at Pratt & Whitney.

I believe the launch engine from General Electric-Pratt & Whitney will be the GP7200. The Rolls-Royce Trent 900 will also be offered at launch. Attached is an image I found on the internet of the Trent 900 attached to an Airbus A340 test bed. The size is just amazing and hopefully when I’m an airport manager, one of these days, I’ll be able to see an A380 fly in.

That’s correct. Only the Trent 900 has flown so far though. The first A380 with the GP7200’s is currently under construction. It is F-WWSH (will be A6-EDA), and will be Emirates’s first A380 (they opted for the GP7200 version over the Trent 900).

Ah here’s the one that I was looking for (Trent 900 from the front again, but with better reference): http://www.airliners.net/open.file/0989940/M/

The A380 is an amazing aircraft. Though i’ll probably never fly on one, lol. I’m actually thinking about aircraft engineering after High School when I go to college.
