  1. Disney drinks will be $3.00 instead of $2.50.

  2. FIRST is planning a spectacular show for us this upcoming 2000 florida competition. (they better be, millinium celebrations do have marketing things along with it)

  3. We will run out of drinking water at the Florida competitions because the kids will end up pouring water all over themselves. (hey, it happened last year, my regards to Allison Roth of team97)

  4. At least one team will say ‘The robot stopped would not work because of the heat.’

  5. At least 1 person from every team will say ‘I’m not working because it’s too hot.’

  6. At least one member of every team will say 'Is the park open yet?

  7. At least one person from each event will get hit on the head with a giant yellow ball.

  8. There will be plenty of balls to play with, bounce around, and definitely stray flying balls hitting other pit stations. Just remember to say ‘oops’ and quickly look the opposite direction.

  9. At least one robot will make a 360 flip over the bar on top of the ramp.

  10. We’re all going to have so much fun! (I wonder if it ever rains during this time of the year? psych!)

Oh, of course…so this means more than ever, bring your own!

Unless they claim that last year’s slightly-Y2K themed closing ceremonies was our ‘milennium’ show.

: 3. We will run out of drinking water at the Florida competitions because the kids will end up pouring water all over themselves. (hey, it happened last year, my regards to Allison Roth of team97)
2 words: AIR CONDITIONING
Thankfully, Disney has FINALLY put the smaller competition stages, as well as the viewing areas, inside a very large tent. Now, as long as it doesn’t go out like it did in '98…

Will that be the question, or will it be ‘Can we go to the parks yet?’

: 7. At least one person from each event will get hit on the head with a giant yellow ball.
If you’re talking about intentionally, then maybe…I don’t remember seeing too many balls getting loose in '98…at least off the field, and i think the wall between the human players and robots will help to protect them against this…

PLEASE don’t let it be us…with our design(and actually, most of the ones i’ve seen), unless that flip happens REALLY fast, we’re going to come crashing down onto the bar once we’re at 180…

Well, I know last year it tried to rain as we were running around in the parks on Sunday…And, in '98(?), it rained for about a half hour one day and that was it…

I really hope it doesn’t go out this year. I was stuck in the pits guarding the robot in 98’ when the air went out… In one of the furry Team 57 Tiger suits… So lets all hope the AC gods look favorably on this competition…
