About expansion rule of FRC

Hello. I’m from FRC team 5829 Awty bot. I wonder if we are allowed to expand to both left side and right side for 12 inch, or I can only expand to one side by 12 inch? Thanks!

The manuals shows that’s correct to be able to expand on both

Does this also apply on vertical expansion? Like can you expand from bottom?

That’s height and being covered in another thread right now, but short answer is no

If you expand from the bottom, you likely will push your BUMPERS out of the BUMPER ZONE, so you will be in violation.
