active mecanisms

Hi everyone, we read and searched the manual, but didn’t seem to find a satisfying answer…

Are we allowed to have active mecanisms that change their location but don’t exceed the 60" hight limit (e.g some sort of a platform that streches up and has a kicking mecanism connected it etc.) on our 2010 robot?

Your mechanism can move into place but not move when it’s contacting the ball.

<G45> Active BALL control - ROBOTS may not control BALL direction with active MECHANISMS above the BUMPER ZONE. Violation: PENALTY.

MECHANISMS are considered “active” if they are in motion relative to the ROBOT while in contact with the BALL. Resetting or moving MECHANISMS while not in contact with a BALL is permitted as the MECHANISMS are not considered “active.”
