Hi CD, our team is planning to use LEDs on our bot for feedback, reading the docs in wpi we figured out that there are a type of LEDs that can be plugged directly in the PWM port, so thge question is, what kind of LED strip could we buy?

If you want a full ecosystem, the Adafruit NeoPixel line is entirely compatible, however they are a bit more pricey.

For cheaper options, you can look on Amazon for anything compatible with the WS2812
