Do air compressors need to have a motor controller? We are unsure which type of motor controller (talon, spike, etc…) we would reasonably need, if any.
Spike Relay and spike relay only.
With a 20 amp breaker to replace the 20 amp fuse.
That is an option, but is not required.
But it’s very, very recommended.
Add “Al recommended”. The Thomas Compressor has a start current of 25 amps, guaranteed to trip the fuse eventually. IFI suggested this addition long ago.
